'upon a most excellent adventure conceived by our new friends'

Sandra over here is a very lucky blogger.

Being a fan of Bill Bryson she bought a ticket to a book reading and signing event. Then she won 2 special tickets.

The really lucky part is she offered her spare tickets and got to meet Dunner and me. (!)

As I think they both agreed it was a little odd that we knew a lot about each other and yet not so much.

It was a great night, for lots of reasons. Bill is, as you would expect if you had ever read any of his books, a great story teller. Especially as it feels as though he is not just telling stories as sharing stories. He is charming, witty and quick. The several hundred people who turned out to see him on a chilly evening here in Toronto would agree, I'm sure.














Add to that drinks and curried chips with two new friends and days don't get much better.
