eh

Originally from Dublin, Ireland. Moved to London and then Leeds, England, I now live in Toronto, Canada. Oh and now back again. Anyway, you can take the woman out of Ireland but, you know the rest. Basically the stuff on here will be the same no matter where I am. Ramblings and rantings about stuff, some from Canada. Some of them really do say 'eh' ~~~~~ "ascertaining the comprehension, continued interest, agreement, etc., of the person or persons addressed"

Return of the return of the *drum roll* Monday Movie Quiz

So, apparently someone actually likes the Monday Movie qiuz.

In honour of George Carlin who died today, the quiz today is all about him. He did more film stuff than you think, you know.

1. The main location of this film was in Los Angeles a few blocks from McArthur Park. It was torn down in the late 1980s. While it was open, the marquee of the car wash announced it was featured in this film.

Name the film from 1976.

2. He said - Hi. Welcome to the future. San Dimas, California, 2688. And I'm telling you, it's great here. The air is clean. The water's clean. Even the dirt... is clean. Bowling averages are way up. Mini-golf scores are way down. And we have more excellent waterslides than any other planet we communicate with. I'm telling you, this place is great. But it almost wasn't. You see, 700 years ago the Two Great Ones ran into a few problems. So now I have to travel back in time to help them out. If I should fail to keep these two on the correct path, the basis of our society will be in danger. Don't worry. It'll all make sense. I'm a professional.
Name the film.

3. Another quote - Cardinal Glick: Fill them pews, people, that's the key. Grab the little ones as well. Hook 'em while they're young.
Rufus: Kind of like the tobacco industry?
Cardinal Glick: Christ, if only we had their numbers.
Name the film.

4. Fillmore, the VW Microbus voiced by George Carlin, has license plate '51237'. This is Carlin's birth date; May 12, 1937. But what was the film?

5. He played The Architect in a (not very good film),but name it anyway -
The Architect: The answer is simple. You are the eventuality of an anomaly. You are inexorably seeking a sedulant probability.
Cindy: Sedulant? I uh...
The Architect: Grotesquery?... No?... What about, contingent affirmation?... That's gotta mean somethin...

6. The tagline of the film , in which he was Frank Madras, and you have to name is - The CIA is trailing them. The KGB is tracking them. The phone company is tracing them. The police are chasing them. The cowboys are herding them. And the Indians are hunting them. Are they going to fall for all of that?
