tales of the George part 2 in which I finally get a job offer
After over 2 years of fruitless job searching here in Toronto, the decision has been made to return to (his) Old Country.
We moved over 3000 miles once we can do it again.
I just can't get a job here unless I completely re-train from the very start. This I just don't want to do for many reasons- it's insulting to have to go do a course here to in something I have 15 years experience in, it makes no financial sense to pay 10 - 15 thousand dollars for said course only to get a job which pays 35 thousand, and mostly, I just don't want to.
My first job offer here came the other day while out walking the Georgester.
That dog really is the friendliest dog ever, anyone shows even a hint of interest in him and he is all over them. Which is what happened the other day. Danforth Avenue Man said hello to him and because George went over to him straight away and is 'such a happy dog' - (Danforth Avenue Man's words) I was offered a job walking his dog.
Maybe I should take George to all my interviews....

Amanda--
That stinks--is the economy as bad in Canada as it is here in the States? When Obama takes office it will improve!
Taffy
dang shame. stupid canada. that's why i moved to stupid australia.
Taffy, no, so far no real down-turn in the economy, just hard to get a job here when it's all about networking and you don't have a network!
SJ- I tought you moved there for the cool/crazy/poisionous animals? ;-)
