eh

Originally from Dublin, Ireland. Moved to London and then Leeds, England, I now live in Toronto, Canada. Oh and now back again. Anyway, you can take the woman out of Ireland but, you know the rest. Basically the stuff on here will be the same no matter where I am. Ramblings and rantings about stuff, some from Canada. Some of them really do say 'eh' ~~~~~ "ascertaining the comprehension, continued interest, agreement, etc., of the person or persons addressed"

tales of the George part 2 in which I finally get a job offer

After over 2 years of fruitless job searching here in Toronto, the decision has been made to return to (his) Old Country.
We moved over 3000 miles once we can do it again.
I just can't get a job here unless I completely re-train from the very start. This I just don't want to do for many reasons- it's insulting to have to go do a course here to in something I have 15 years experience in, it makes no financial sense to pay 10 - 15 thousand dollars for said course only to get a job which pays 35 thousand, and mostly, I just don't want to.

My first job offer here came the other day while out walking the Georgester.
That dog really is the friendliest dog ever, anyone shows even a hint of interest in him and he is all over them. Which is what happened the other day. Danforth Avenue Man said hello to him and because George went over to him straight away and is 'such a happy dog' - (Danforth Avenue Man's words) I was offered a job walking his dog.
Maybe I should take George to all my interviews....
